Rev. Daniel Blackburn has been serving as the Youth Minister at the Christ the King Baptist Church, since May of 2007. Rev. Blackburn came to Milwaukee from Buffalo, NY. While in Buffalo, he served as Youth Minister at the Free Spirit, New True Faith, and Hopewell Baptist Churches and the New Covenant United Church of Christ. Rev. Blackburn also serves as an instructor in the Wisconsin General Baptist State Convention, Congress of Christian Education and the National Baptist Convention, Congress of Christian Education.

Chris Crain is a native of Lumberton, Mississippi. He has served as Minister of Music at Christ The King Baptist Church for 3 years. Prior to relocating to Milwaukee, he served in the position of Musical Director at Nazarene Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana for 5 years.

Donald Freeman, Maintenance Supervisor

Donald Freeman, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1969. Don has been employed at Christ The King Baptist Church since 2001 as Maintenance Supervisor. Prior to coming to Christ The King, he was employed at Marconi Communication for 24 years. Don also serves on Trustee Ministry, Altar Guild, and as a driver with the Van Ministry.

Sharron Jewell, Director, Ministry and Program Development

Sharron Jewell is the Director of Ministry and Program Development at Christ The King Baptist Church. Ms. Jewell received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Communications and a Master’s Degree in Organization Development, both from Alverno College. She has also acquired Continuing Education Units in the areas of Biblical Studies, Christian Education, Counseling and Leadership from Tony Evans’ Urban Alternative in Dallas, Texas; and certifications in Administration and Leadership from the Southern Baptist Black Church Leadership Conference, Ridgecrest, North Carolina.

Anita Peterson, Controller

Anita Peterson is the Controller for Christ the King Baptist Church and its subsidiaries (King’s Academy Christian School, CTK Development Corporation, and the Samaritan Project, Inc.). Anita also serves as the financial Manager for the CEO Leadership Academy. Prior to her career in non-profit management, she worked in Corporate America as an accountant for Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC) and as an Accountant/Assistant Vice President for the WMAC Investment Corporation. Anita is also an Adjunct Accounting Instructor at Concordia University. She received her BS in Business Management-Finance and an MBA, with a focus in Non-Profit Management, both from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.

Jamie Tinnon is the Receptionist/Secretary for CTK with 3 years experience. Prior to that she has worked in the field of Elementary Education and Early Childhood education as a Assistant Teacher/Pre–school teacher for over seven years, she has also worked as a Loan Processor for Chase Manhattan Mortgage in Charlotte, NC. While looking for a career change and challenge she has worked as a Receptionist for Professional Services Group, dealing with families and children.  

Sena Williams, Administrative/Technology Coordinator

Sena Williams serves as the Administrative/Technology Coordinator. For the past 18 years she has worked in the area of Office Administration and has worked at Christ The King since 2001.  Before working in Office Administration, she spent several years working in the Banking and Accounting/ Professional Services Industries, as well as with Federal and State Governments.  Sena has a Bachelor’s Degree from Alverno College and a Master’s Degree from Cardinal Stritch University - both in Business.
