Who we are:

The CTK Boys’ Basketball Team

What we do as a ministry:

We enrich the lives of our male youth by strengthening their relationship with God through fellowship in basketball.

Our Focus:

This ministry exists to get boys physically active, and to help them demonstrate both team and leadership abilities. 

How We Edify the Body of Christ:

We use basketball as a way to minister to the boys.  The boys are able to depend on and relate to scripture that is presented before practice.  They also learn how to pray and put God first in their lives.

When and how often we meet:

The team meets twice a week, one night for prayer and practice, and the other for the game.  The coaches also meet twice a month for coach’s meetings, and once a month for youth meetings.

Opportunities to serve in this ministry:

Positions in the ministry:

• Volunteers can call the boys, and provide rides.  

• Recruiters who are knowledgeable about the game, can help recruit boys to the team.

• Volunteers can manage our concession stand and assist coaches by taking stats and running the clock.
