 Who we are?

The Deacons provide the spiritual foundation of Christ The King Church, in direct support of the Senior Pastor. 

What we do as a ministry?

We provide spiritual leadership in direct support of the Senior Pastor, work with new members helping them to transition into the life of the church, and ensure the spiritual life and longevity of the Church continues. 

Why does this ministry exist?

To provide a foundation of leadership for the Church. 

How does what we do help edify the Body of Christ?

We are extensions of the Senior Pastor and often address key issues on his behalf, which frees him for to be devoted to prayer and ministry of the Word. 

When and how often do we meet?

We meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. 

What opportunities are there to serve in this ministry?

  • First and foremost we have and opportunity to provide strength and support for our spiritual leader.

  • Second we administer the Churches charities, caring for the poor and providing all that pertains to the Church’s welfare.

  • We assist Pastor in serving the Lord’s Supper both in Church and in the community.   

Types of positions in ministry:

  • Ministry Leader: He oversees and make sure that the Ministry is functioning and in sync with the vision of our Pastor.

  • Assistant Leader: He supports and fills in for the leader in his absence.

  • Benevolent Coordinator: He processes the benevolent request and presents it to Pastor.

  • Communion Coordinator: He orders the communion supplies.

  • Training Coordinator: He provides the curriculum for Deacon’s training.

  • Sweet Hour of prayer coordinator: He provides leadership and instruction for Sunday morning prayer.
