NICOLE ELMS

Office Manager

Nicole M. Elms serves as the Office Manager for Christ The King, bringing more than 20 years of experience in office administration. Her professional background includes roles as an Executive Assistant and Legal & Risk Management Compliance Specialist within the corporate sector. Prior to her current position, Nicole faithfully served for several years as Financial Assistant III in Christ The King’s Finance Department before transitioning to the dual role of Receptionist/Secretary in 2014. In 2023, she was promoted to Office Manager. Since joining Christ The King in 2011, Nicole was a success story of the Samaritan Project, Inc. and Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board (MAWIB) collaboration. She holds an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Business Management from Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). Nicole is a dedicated member of CTK’s Sanctuary choir. She and her husband Charles serve the CTK ministry together, have been married since August 1998 and have one daughter, Stája. As Office Manager, Nicole understands that her role extends beyond administrative support — it is a ministry of order, hospitality, stewardship, and service. Her favorite scripture that reflects this commitment is 1 Corinthians 14:40 (NKJV): “Let all things be done decently and in order.”

ANITA M. PETERSON

Comptroller

Anita Peterson serves as the Comptroller for Christ the King Baptist Church and its subsidiaries. Since 2001, she has faithfully overseen all financial operations across the church campus, including King’s Academy Christian School, CTK Development Corporation (Quality of Life Center), and The Samaritan Project, Inc., an after-school tutorial and outreach ministry. Prior to her work in nonprofit leadership, Anita built her professional foundation in Corporate America, serving as an accountant and Assistant Vice President for several organizations. Her strong financial background has enabled her to support numerous churches and schools in their startup phases, and she has also shared her expertise in higher education as an adjunct accounting instructor at a local university. Anita is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management–Finance, cum laude, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Nonprofit Management. Anita joyfully volunteers in the Music Ministry and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Of all her blessings, Anita believes her greatest gifts from God are her three beautiful children and her five precious grandchildren. To God be the glory for the great things He has done!

TALIJAH WILLIAMS

Youth Director

Talijah Williams serves as the Youth Director for Christ The King, Assistant Chief of Staff for the National Baptist Convention of USA, Inc., Youth and Young Adult Auxiliary, and Midwest Region Assistant Director. This Milwaukee native was raised in a Christ-centered home where her passion for ministry was nurtured from an early age. Through the love and guidance of her family, she was encouraged to grow in her faith, serve faithfully, and steward her gifts for Kingdom impact. Her zeal for Christ led to a degree in Biblical Studies from Andersonville Theological Seminary. Talijah is deeply committed to lifelong learning, spiritual growth, leadership development, and advancing the Kingdom of God. Talijah is passionate about equipping the next generation for service while bridging the gap between faith, leadership, and real-world application. She has served youth from early childhood ages through college-aged students in both Christian and secular educational settings, bringing a holistic approach to ministry that meets young people where they are while guiding them toward purpose, growth, and Christ-centered living. She lives by her personal motto: Y.E.S. — Young, Excited, and Saved! Her favorite scripture is: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)

REVEREND JUDY AMOS

Associate Minister

Reverend Judy Amos serves as an Associate Minister at Christ the King, where she was licensed in 2004 and ordained in 2008. She holds a Master of Divinity from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor, and an Associate of Science in Nursing from the University of New York at Albany. She has also completed several courses toward a Doctor of Ministry degree and serves as a chaplain with The Salvation Army. After more than 23 years of honorable service, Rev. Amos retired as a Major from the United States Army Nurse Corps in 2001 to devote greater focus to Christian ministry. Since joining Christ the King in 1995, she has served in various ministry areas and currently teaches within the Christian Education Ministry, while also serving through the Community Awareness & Engagement and Women’s Ministries. Her service extends into the community, including participation on the Mayor’s Milwaukee Common Grounds Committee and Wisconsin Common Grounds social justice initiatives. She has served as a certified instructor for the Department of Christian Education of the National Baptist Convention, USA, and as an instructor for the Wisconsin General Baptist State Congress of Christian Education. Rev. Amos has also served on the Board of Directors for King’s Academy Christian School and has ministered in mission fields in Guatemala and Africa. In 2009, she founded Light and Life Ministries and continues to travel nationally sharing the Gospel. Rev. Amos is the proud mother of two sons and is blessed with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her ministry is rooted in the words of Jesus: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to bring good news… He has sent me to proclaim…” Luke 4:18–19 (NRSV)

CYNTHIA R. STEWART

Director of Ministry and Program Development

Cynthia serves as the Director of Ministry and Program Development, providing strategic leadership in the planning and development of ministries that honors Biblical values, individual growth, Godly excellence, and community impact. With a BA degree in Journalism and more than three decades of leadership experience, Cynthia brings expertise in human resources leadership, DEI strategy and management, church leadership, and leadership consulting. Her background supports effective people development, leadership coaching, building strong organizational systems, and mission- aligned ministry execution. In her ministry role, Cynthia works closely with pastoral leadership and ministry teams to translate vision into effective action and to develop programs that are spiritually grounded, well-structured, and responsive to the evolving needs of the church and the broader community. Her approach to leadership is anchored in Scripture, particularly her favorite, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 (KJV):

TODDNETTA TRICE

Media Director

Toddnetta Trice is a Milwaukee native and seasoned communications professional with a diverse background spanning global and nationally recognized organizations such as Walt Disney World, CBS 58 (Milwaukee’s CBS affiliate), and the Better Business Bureau. During her tenure with the Better Business Bureau, she served as a trusted Spokesperson, appearing in both national and local media outlets more than 100 times to educate, inform, and advocate for consumers and businesses. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Toddnetta is deeply passionate about the power of storytelling, servant leadership, and building meaningful connections that foster trust within the communities she serves. Outside of her professional work, she is a devoted mother who enjoys traveling and reading. She is guided by her favorite scripture, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. ANGELA GREEN

Financial Assistant

Angela Green brings more than 20 years of experience in both corporate and service-oriented nonprofit organizations, consistently demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a sincere commitment to serving others. Her extensive background has strengthened her administrative and financial management skills, enabling her to support the church’s operations with excellence in her role as Financial Assistant. Guided by Christian values and a deep respect for the church’s mission, Angela works to ensure that all financial processes are handled with transparency and care. Her long-standing commitment to ministry reflects a desire to use her gifts to support the church’s mission and honor God through service and stewardship. In addition to her ministry service, Angela is a licensed real estate agent who has guided clients through the home-buying and selling process with honesty, patience, and care—qualities she brings to every area of her work. Angela has lived in Milwaukee since an early age, and her professional journey has contributed to her continued growth mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. A member of Christ The King Church since 1985, she is proud to be one of its founding members. For more than 30 years, Angela has faithfully served as Choir Director for the Youth Choir and is grateful for the opportunity to help young people grow spiritually in Christ through the ministry of song. Angela has been married to her husband, Nathaniel Green, for 30 years, and she continues to cherish the blessings of faith, family, and community. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
