Christ The King Church exists to advance the Kingdom of God through spirit filled worship, dynamic preaching, and biblically sound teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide services that minister to your physical, mental, and spiritual needs. One shepherd, one vision—a church that cares about you.

CTK Ministries
 
At Christ The King Baptist Church (CTK), there is a ministry for everyone! Our members are provided with many choices to serve and support our community efforts.

Administration

 

Church Clerk:
This person is the official record keeper for all business meetings for Christ The King Baptist Church. He/She records the minutes and take care of the official Minutes Corporate Book. He/She also maintains and reports at the annual church meeting the statistics pertaining to membership, deaths, and births. The Church Clerk represents the church in the event of death of a member or a member’s relative as outlined in the church bylaws.
 
Deacon Ministry:
The Deacon Ministry exist to provide spiritual leadership in direct support of the Pastor, work with new members helping them to transition into the life of the church, and ensure that the spiritual life and longevity of the Church continues.
 
Finance Committee:
The Finance Committee exists to manage and prepare for deposit all donations received during the Sunday morning worship services, as well as any other special programs or events held by the church.  We are further responsible for the accurate data entry into and reconciliation of the contribution database and the preparation and distribution of annual contribution statements to our members.

Senior Mothers Ministry:
The Senior Mothers provide assistance to the Pastor and Deacons during the observance of two ordinances of the Church, Communion and Baptism. One of their primary roles is to act as mentors to the young women and wives of the church.
 
Trustee Ministry:
The Trustee Ministry oversees the maintenance and general upkeep of the equipment and property of the entire Christ The King campus.


Christian Education/Discipleship


Purpose:
This ministry is the Christian education arm of Christ The King Baptist Church (CTK). Family Life Ministry (FLM) provides multiple tracks of Christian Education to CTK members and offers a variety of courses to help move believers from where they are on to God’s plan for their lives. Whether a new convert or coming with Christian experience, the Timothy Ministry (New members’ Ministry) facilitates successful transition into the life of the church.

 

Abundant Life Senior Ministry:
The Abundant Life Senior Ministry seeks to encourage members of Christ the King Church who are fifty-five years and older to live abundantly through activities designed to foster spiritual growth, evangelistic outreach, educational and fellowship programs. Our desire is to work in partnership with other ministries of Christ the King Church that encourage and support seniors. We aim to become a vital and contributing ministry that supports the needs of active adults of our Church and surrounding community.


All The Kings Men:
All The King’s Men exist to minister and spread the good news of Jesus Christ. The ministry provides strong male leadership and visibility in Christ The King and the community, serving as role models, leaders, mentors and support to men of God.

 

Family Life Ministry (Bible Study/Sunday School):
Family Life Ministry is the teaching arm of the church that teaches the Word of God and provides life application of God’s Word for all ages (i.e., adult, youth, and children). Both topical study and standardized lessons are utilized during the Sunday school, Bible Study and Wednesday in the Word teaching sessions.

Timothy Ministry – New Member Orientation:
Members of this ministry are the facilitators of new members who have joined CTK and aid their transition into the life of the church through New Members Orientation. The Orientation introduces the new member to the doctrine of the Baptist church, ministries and the history of Christ The King and the policies and procedures we adhere to as a church.


 Marriage Ministry:
The Marriage Ministry exists to provide opportunities that will strengthen marriages and promote couples’ spiritual, emotional, and marital growth. 
 
Women In Ministry:
The Women in Ministry exist to be a Christian vessel to help build the Kingdom of God by enhancing the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of women at Christ The King Baptist Church.
 
Communications/Publicity


Audio/Visual  Ministry:
The Audio/Visual Ministry exist to provide quality recording of worship services, revivals, concerts and other events scheduled by Christ The King or at remote locations as determined by the church administration team. The ministry also provides technological support to the evangelistic goal of the church by extending our Sunday morning worship service to the community through media broadcasting. The ministry works in cooperation with the church office in providing overhead screen displays of information that is pertinent to the order of service for all worship services and events within the sanctuary.
 
Seeds To Grow By Ministry:
The Seeds To Grow By Ministry produces CDs and DVDs of worship services and special programs of the church. These items are available for purchase immediately following those services.

 

 

Education

The CTK Educational Resource Ministry:

The CTK Educational Resource Ministry recognizes and supports higher educational needs of Christ The King members. We sponsor fundraising activities to offer financial assistance to graduating high school seniors.


 
Evangelism & Outreach


Purpose:
Serves the community by reaching out to share a fellowship revival by evangelizing or serving as missionaries. These core ministries go beyond our church walls to our neighboring communities. This ministry also provides transportation to our worship services.

 
Andrew Ministry:
The Andrew Ministry is the evangelistic arm of the church. The ministry exists to fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20; thereby sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to an unsaved world.
 
Community Awareness Ministry:
The Community Awareness Ministry’s goal is to engage members in the stewardship of being a good citizen through informing church membership of legislation and political activities on a National, State and Local levels.
 
Mission Ministry:
The Mission Ministry’s purpose is to align our hearts and demonstrate Christian love with God’s work. In doing so, the Missionaries of Christ The King’s Mission Ministry branches out to serve the church, the community and the world.


Family/Holistic Health


Purpose:
Focuses on the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of families by offering a variety of workshops, conferences, support services and a host of activities.

 
Lazarus Ministry:
Under the leadership of the Lazarus and Bereavement Ministry, a health care professional leads a support group for those who have experienced or anticipate the loss of a loved one.

Holistic Health Ministry:
The Holistic Health Ministry exists to minister to the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of our congregation and the community through health education, home and hospital visitation, basic first aid assistance and various support groups.


Helps/Hospitality

Purpose:
Provide support services related to the regular, ongoing, upfront and behind-the-scenes ministry operations of Christ The King Baptist Church (CTK).

 
Altar Guild:
The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing the altar and pulpit for worship services, assisting and handling the pastor’s vestment, providing a hospitable atmosphere for pulpit guests, preparing and serving breakfast on Sundays for Pastor and guests, serving Pastor, visiting ministers, and guests after special services/events, and accompanying Pastor when visiting other congregations. 
 
Beautification Ministry:
The Beautification Ministry exist to maintain the beauty of the sanctuary and other facilities that God has graciously bestowed upon our Christ The King campus by maintaining the foliage, decorating the facilities, and dressing the cross and altar table.


Hospitality Ministry:
The Hospitality Ministry exists to assist with activities and events of the Church, greet visitors and our Christ The King members and friends, and distribute worship literature for various church services.
 
Senior Ushers:
The Senior Usher Ministry primary responsibility is to seat, monitor entry/exit from the sanctuary, make sure pews have adequate supply of offering envelopes, collect offerings for all worship services, supply members’ requests for fans/tissue/bulletins, etc.

 

Volunteer Ministry:

The primary responsibilities of this ministry includes supervising the use and maintenance of the kitchen as well as replenishing supplies to suffice all scheduled activities.
 
Music Ministry
Purpose:
Ministers to the congregation and the community by using the medium of music and other expressions of praise and worship.

Sanctuary Choir:
The Sanctuary Choir is for adults 18 and over. They provide songs to prepare the congregation for the Word of God. The Sanctuary Choir sings a combination of traditional and contemporary Gospel.
 
Inspirational Choir:
The Inspirational Choir is an arm of the New Generation Youth Ministry as well as the Music Ministry.  This choir members, ages 13-18 years strive to reach our highest point of excellence for God, ourselves and the ministry.
 
Men of Praise:
The Men of Praise is a Choir for Men, ages 18 and up. This choir sings a combination of traditional Gospel and quartet music.
 
Praise Dancers – Adult:

Praise Dancers - are adult men and/or women, ages 18 and up. This ministry enhances the praise and worship period of church services through dance.
 
New Generation Youth

Cherub Choir
The Cherub Choir is an arm of the New Generation Youth Ministry and the Music Ministry. It is a Children’s Choir for children ages 4-12 whose parents are members of Christ the King Baptist Church.  The Cherub Choir share God’s Word through song.


Inspirational Choir
The Inspirational Choir is an arm of the New Generation Youth Ministry as well as the Music Ministry.  This choir members, ages 13-18 years strive to reach our highest point of excellence for God, ourselves and the ministry.


Junior & Youth Ushers
This ministry is for children and youth ages 7-18. As a ministry, we serve with courtesy and attentiveness to make sure that service remains orderly.  We hold the doors for worshippers, greet and direct them to their seats, provide offering envelopes, collect offerings, hold the doors to prevent worshippers from entering or exiting at inappropriate times, and collect guest cards and any handouts that need to be returned.


Nursery/Cry Room
The Nursery Ministry is a ministry that provides a clean environment that fosters care for small children, while introducing them to Christian teaching.

Young Adult Ministry (YAM)
The Young Adult Ministry (YAM is made up of young adults ages 19-35 (post youth ministry) and is meant to bridge the gap and build relationships amongst peers while building a relationship with God.


Youth and Children’s Church
Youth Church is a service designed with youth in mind. It is a worship service that allows “school aged” youth (middle school, high school, and college) to worship, learn, and express themselves in their own way. Youth Church takes place on the 1st & 2nd Sundays of each month.

Youth Church is a service designed with youth in mind. It is a worship service that allows “school aged” youth (middle school, high school, and college) to worship, learn, and express themselves in their own way. Youth Church takes place on the 1st & 2nd Sundays of each month during the 11:15 a.m. Worship Service. Children’s Church provides a satisfying experience that creates a desire for them to continue in worship and strengthen their relationship with God. Youth Church is located in Fellowship Hall.
